Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Clapt mobile application and website ("Service") operated by Clapt ("we," "us," or "our"). By using Clapt, you agree to these terms.

What Clapt Does

Clapt helps sellers document the condition of packages before shipping by capturing photos, generating timestamped reports, and providing shareable proof links. Clapt also enables buyers to document package condition on arrival.

Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use Clapt.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all photos and data you upload to Clapt. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service — including generating reports, sharing proof pages, and sending notifications on your behalf.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Notifications and Communications

When you enable buyer notifications, Clapt sends emails and/or SMS messages to the contact information you provide. You represent that you have the right to provide this contact information and that the recipient has a reasonable expectation of receiving shipping-related communications.

AI Features

Clapt uses artificial intelligence to analyze shipping labels and describe package conditions. AI-generated content is provided as-is and may contain errors. You should review AI-generated descriptions before relying on them for claims or disputes.

Package Tracking

Clapt integrates with third-party carriers (via EasyPost) to provide tracking updates. Tracking information is provided as-is and may not reflect real-time status. Clapt is not responsible for carrier performance, delivery outcomes, or tracking accuracy.

Disclaimers

Clapt is a documentation tool. We do not guarantee the outcome of any shipping dispute, carrier claim, or platform case. The Service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Clapt is not a legal service and does not provide legal advice. Documentation created with Clapt may support your claims but does not guarantee resolution.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clapt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, all your submissions, photos, reports, and personal data will be permanently removed. This action cannot be undone.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Clapt after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
